Against the backdrop of decades of rising demand, mental health has never been more important.  The Covid pandemic has led to a 4x increase in mental disorders around the world.  With no increase in the supply of clinicians, tens of millions of people are stranded today without access to care. There has never been a more critical moment for the work that we’re leading at Koa Health.  And this is where you come in.

Your New Role

You will work with Koa Health’s Personalization Team on building Machine Learning solutions for personalizing Koa Health’s products. You will also participate in the entire process of delivering ML products. That includes:

  • Collaborate with the product team in order to optimize existing features and build new ones
  • Providing Data Analysis on performance of existing products
  • Build ML models
  • Build ETLs pipelines
  • Productionize ML solutions

Other functions in this role will be:

  • Performing and analyzing AB Tests
  • Performing Data Analysis that explains user behavior 
  • Leading and taking the responsibility of the internal experiments
  • Helping with design and maintaining tracking events


About You

  • Experience as a Data Scientist in building ML products
  • Solid statistical background in Machine Learning
  • Coding skills, preferably advanced Python. Experience with Scala or/and Spark is a strong plus
  • Experiences with deep learning libraries such as Tensorflow or Pytorch.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to organize your work efficiently and prioritize tasks. Experience with Agile methodologies desired.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MLOps skills related to CI/CD and cloud computing (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with Recommender Systems and user modeling
  • Experience with RCT and Causal Inference
  • Publications in peer reviewed journals or conferences
  • Degree in Quantitative fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Neuroscience
  • Previous experience in the health area.
