We are Loop

We redefine what an earplug should sound, look and feel like. Whether it’s hearing protection or comfort for your ears, Loop enables you to live life at your volume. Our founders Maarten and Dimitri started Loop back with a big idea. And a chronic ringing in their ears. Since then, we’ve helped more than 1,000,000 customers around the world to find quiet, enjoy great experiences and keep unwanted noises at bay. Our team has grown to nearing 100+ staff and counting, with our Headquarters is based in Antwerp, with many employees dotted across Europe and the world.

Not to brag about it, but we've recently been named the fastest-growing technology company in Belgium (according to Deloitte - October 2022 awards), and The New York Times named us ‘best earplugs for concerts and thousands of noise-sensitive customers call us ‘a life changer’. Pretty cool, right?

About the role:

Oh, hey there – you found us.

(Of course you did, you’re a sourcing pro.)

This year alone we’re bringing five new products to market. And we want to make sure that the product concepts put forward by our Product Development team can be put into mass production in China. There used to be a lack of procurement supplier strategy. Products and projects were stuck in the concept stage, with teams working alongside each other – so near yet so far. That’s why we’re on the hunt for a Sourcing & Industrialization Engineer, who can build a connection between our product development and operations teams. You’re their advisor across the whole development process. Guiding them on production costs, possibilities, and limitations – and you’re listened to every step of the way.

As part of the operations team you report to Alice, our Sourcing & Production Engineer. And thanks to your incredible communication skills, you bridged the gap between the teams and brought products to life.

Your international project management experience in third-party manufacturing has been invaluable. It’s helped our engineering team to bring their fantastic concepts to working mass production lines in China. You will be able to travel to Asia when necessary to visit suppliers – roughly three times a year.

Last but not least you’ve kept a bird’s-eye view on costs, from the concept stage all the way through to the final product. Not only that, but you’ve created visibility in the cost structures, proposing even better alternatives when needed – keeping us on budget. You’re going to have a big impact on how efficient our product development is, from budget to speed-to-market.

What you’ll do:

  • You lead industrialization projects and ensure time, cost & quality of these projects.
  • You develop creative solutions to solve industrialization and manufacturing problems.
  • You influence the design for manufacturability to ensure cost-effective solutions and smooth production flows.
  • You take initiative: you initiate and implement improvement ideas.
  • You're a curious cat: you're constantly looking for new technologies to help our suppliers produce more effectively.

How you’ll do it:

  • You have a solid experience in Product Development, Industrialization or in R&D department (preferably in an ODM/OEM model) with injection molded (consumer) goods.
  • You're an injection molding wizard and know a thing or two about plastics
  • Lean manufacturing principles are not just fluffy words for you.
  • You’ll need to work in our Antwerp office on a regular basis. Our product development team is based there, so it makes sense :-)
  • You will be able to travel to Asia when necessary to visit suppliers – roughly three times a year.
  • Good English is a must-have, please. And if you can speak Chinese? That’s a very nice-to-have.

Why join us?

  • We’re Belgium’s fastest-growing technology company (according to Deloitte - awarded October 2022), and we want you to grow and improve alongside us.
  • Our culture? We’re all about enabling growth by giving our team full autonomy to manage their own projects, be a thought leader, and truly make an impact on the company.
  • We take care of our people. So, we pay them what they’re worth. Expect a competitive pay in the top 20% of the market rate for your level of experience and potential.
  • Also: Senegal. The location of our last team building… just saying. Previous years spent in Iceland & Malta.
  • Flexibility: For us, hybrid and flexible working is all about trust. And we trust you to get on with your job, so there’ll be no micromanaging or peeking over your shoulder from us.
  • Benefits: Our benefits are all aimed towards looking after your health, and enabling you to live life to the fullest. So everything from health insurance and pension savings to lunch vouchers, cruising credits and the latest tools is covered.
