Job Description

We're seeking a Financial Controller Expert to spearhead the financial operations of our licensed payment services entity in the United Kingdom while providing crucial support to our Group accounting function. Reporting to the Group Controller and working closely with the UK Managing Director, you will initially set up a strong process and control environment with the regulatory reporting to FCA, manage and coordinate the day-to-day corporate activities (accounting and tax), including statutory audits where required.

 

Your main missions will be:

Accounting

  • Forge strong relationships with regulatory authorities, representing the finance function at the highest level.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and maintain rigorous financial and regulatory controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee external advisors and liaise with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of new initiatives.
  • Research and consult on complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Prepare financial statements and other related information for external use (audit, submission to regulators, etc.), and play a leading role in external communication as the representative of the Finance department.

 

Regulatory oversight

  • Serve as the finance liaison with the FCA, maintaining compliance and forecasting capital requirements.
  • Manage fund sweep processes and produce all necessary financial regulatory reports.
  • Produce all financial regulatory reports required by the law and regulations
  • Update and maintain wind-down plans, ensuring preparedness for all scenarios.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years’ of experience in relevant fields, with proven and successful track record, preferably for regulated entities, B2B and/or SaaS business.
  • Autonomous worker, able to establish and maintain relationships on a remote basis.
  • Hands on mindset, strong ownership and bias for action
  • Deep analytical rigor, focused on bringing clarity based on deep insights
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to embrace and drive change
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Business Intelligence tools (Looker, Power BI, etc.)
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive approach to change.
