Job Description
The Banking team at Mangopay is responsible for our banking platform, banking connections, FX and our wallet. Our mission is to enable Mangopay to scale to new markets and customers fueling the growth of Mangopay in the coming years. In 2023 Mangopay launched FX as a new service that will standalone and compliment the wider Mangopay offering.
We are now looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead on and execute our vision for FX at Mangopay and grow and scale the range of capabilities and experiences to a rapidly growing list of customers.
Mission
The Lead Product Manager will be responsible for leading the vision, translating this to a roadmap that can be executed alongside our engineering team and ensuring effective GTM for all FX products and services. The role requires experience in FX products either in a consumer or B2B context and a depth of knowledge in the complexity that comes with managing multiple currencies and the associated financial risk in order to deliver a rapidly growing revenue line in our PnL. This role is an individual contributor and reports to the Head of Product for Banking.
What you will do
- Execute and refine the vision and strategy for FX products at Mangopay
- Own and be responsible for the success of FX products at Mangopay
- Be a known leader for our FX products and services and collaborate and communicate widely on the roadmap and developments to ensure the organisation is well informed and literate in our FX capabilities
- Define and execute the product roadmap for FX
- Collaborate with the wider product team in banking & payments to embed FX in other payment services to elevate the reach of those products beyond our competitors
- Be responsible for the implementation of the products that you envisage and ensure its appropriate go to market in join collaboration with the other members of the Mangopay team
- Actively engage with clients and stakeholders to identify the needs and challenges of both and incorporate these into a well considered and prioritized product roadmap
- Be data driven - use qualitative and quantitative insights to determine the right prioritization
- FX involves significant costs and risks and you will communicate, collaborate and manage those risks closely with our Finance and Engineering teams
- Drive roadmap execution through OKRs
- Establish metrics, processes and dashboards for monitoring and evaluating the performance and success of the product and its features
Qualifications
- Essential - Experience working with FX products and services, defining, managing and delivering these products to market
- 5+ years experience in Product Management
- 3+ years experience in Fintech; you are familiar with the latest trends and developments in the local payments space and are familiar with the limitations of regulated financial services.
- Strong technical foundations - you may have an engineering background or equivalent experience in designing complex software products and API’s for a B2B customer base
- Ownership and Leadership: you are able to form a vision and work with product, engineering and various stakeholders to turn that vision into life
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of technical and business audiences in a simple and compelling way
- You like to get things done and are able to keep the ball rolling on your field or your stakeholder's one, sense of urgency and bias for action are familiar terms for you.
