Job Description

We are opening a position for a Paralegal in the legal department to support the Group’s overall corporate legal management. This role represents a great opportunity for a paralegal profile seeking a challenging role that combines technical knowledge with practical experience, in a fast-paced European environment. We are looking for an experienced profile who can work independently as well as collaborate within a collegial environment.

ABOUT THE JOB

 

Corporate Governance

  • You will manage the day-to-day corporate governance and reporting requirements of various Group entities (Europe - mainly Luxembourg and France - & UK) ;
  • You will be in charge of preparing materials and draft legal documentation for the entities board and committee meetings, as well as the annual shareholders meeting ;
  • You will organize the board meetings for the Group entities 
  • You will follow all legal formalities in various jurisdictions, including incorporation of new entities. 
  • You will identify and implement the appropriate tools to be used to improve management of our corporate obligations; 
  • You will carry out legal research and participate in legal and regulatory monitoring (mainly in general company law and governance issues related to the financial field); 
  • You will support other teams members with corporate-related requests
  • You will act as the main point of contact with the law firms supporting the Group for corporate formalities

 

Legal operations :

  • You will be in charge of implementing and managing the contract archiving process within the legal department, working closely with the rest of the legal team. 
  • You will be in charge of implementing various processes between the legal department and other departments in relation to procurement. 
  • You will support the VP Legal with matters related to the budget of the legal department. 
  • You will provide support to manage relationships and administrative tasks with external counsels such as law firms, notary, bailiff, etc. 
  • You will support the legal team with signature of documents and contracts by the directors. 

 

Your work environment : 

You will report directly to our VP Legal and will work closely with other members of the legal department as well as various stakeholders from other teams across Europe and the UK, including the Board of Directors and our General Counsel. 

This position requires regular on-site presence at our Luxembourg headquarters. For this reason, this position is based in Luxembourg. Other locations may be considered if compatible with this requirement (e.g. Paris).  

 

QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum 6 years experience working as a paralegal or corporate secretary
  • Ability to adopt a pragmatic approach and act as a true business partner
  • Fluent in French and English is needed
