Senior Manager, Marketing Operations

We are looking for a strategic and analytical marketing operations professional to play a key role on our global marketing team.The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations drives the development and implementation of processes, technology, and data reporting strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in marketing technology, data analysis, and process optimization with a proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights that drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience defining and delivering on global goals, partnering with cross-functional and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Possesses proficiency with operating and integrating the following systems:

  • Salesforce - reporting & dashboarding
  • Marketo 
  • ZoomInfo 
  • Looker Dashboards

Marketing Technology and Data Management:

  • Manage the deployment and optimization of the marketing technology stack, ensuring seamless integration, operation, and optimization of software such as Salesforce, Marketo, ZoomInfo and other relevant technologies.
  • Audit and enhance marketing’s data strategy to manage lead lists, data enrichment, and form handling across all channels. Ensure data integrity, cleanliness and accessibility across marketing functions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.
  • Implement privacy and consent management procedures to maintain compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

Process Optimization and Operational Efficiency:

  • Work closely with Demand Gen team to optimize the campaign response-to-MQL process, collaborating with SDR, sales, and marketing teams to enhance lead management, routing, scoring, and nurturing.
  • Define and guide the end-to-end operations of MariaDB’s marketing email and lead scoring strategy.
  • Direct A/B testing efforts to identify and implement best practices, driving continuous improvement in marketing tactics and strategies across teams and geographies.
  • Possess deep expertise in top-of-funnel strategies and processes that fuel conversion and meaningful pipeline growth.
  • Successfully translates business processes and policies into meaningful documentation and enablement for the organization.
  • Analyze program and lead data to identify insights and trends that can be actioned to improve conversions and increase pipeline.

Strategic Planning and Budget Management:

  • Manage the marketing operations budget and technology renewals, aligning resources with strategic goals and ensuring efficient use of funds.
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance against targets, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Align the marketing organization’s annual and quarterly targets with MariaDB’s sales organization.
  • Manage change effectively, communicating and aligning on operational changes and new initiatives across the marketing organization.
  • Clearly understands how IT, sales, finance, marketing, and sales development interweave with each other from a planning perspective.
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years’ background in Marketing with marketing operations experience.
  • Hands-on experience with B2B marketing and sales automation systems like Marketo and SFDC.
  • Marketo certified (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success building marketing and sales alignment and adherence to lead processes.
  • Results-driven individual with analytical skills in quantitative data analysis of program effectiveness, forecasting, and ROI – translating pipeline goals into a plan for what is needed to achieve the goal.
  • Strong team player with an ability to develop effective working relationships across a distributed organization as well as externally with an ability to inspire and move a cross-functional team in a unified direction and with a unified vision. Must be an approachable and relatable person who will organically earn the trust of the leadership team, key stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related field.
