Our R&D team is innovating faster than ever before. We have just re-organized our R&D and commercial teams into 'business units' to foster cross-functional collaboration,  adopt more agile practices and help to deliver new products to our customers faster. As part of this shift, we have a need for one manager to sit across all business units to ensure consistency, prioritise resources, reflect progress against strategic goals, etc.

As part of this rapid growth, the Mevo R&D team is innovating, iterating and expanding faster than ever before. To accelerate this growth, they’re looking for an experienced Programme Manager who wants to play an essential role in leading and facilitating the effective and efficient delivery of multiple R&D projects, ensuring alignment with strategic businesses objectives and helping to deliver product to customers faster.   

As our Programme Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic alignment of our research activities. You'll manage the research team's day-to-day tasks, fostering collaboration and communication across various research business units.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the research team, including project planning, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Developing and maintaining clear project timelines and milestones, ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration between diverse research teams and business units.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks and risks in research projects.
  • Managing and prioritizing research workload, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Tracking project progress and reporting key metrics to senior management.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders (e.g., R&D, Business Development) and external partners to ensure project alignment with strategic goals.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance research efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the overall research strategy.

About You

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience (3+ years) in project management and team management, ideally within a research and development environment.
  • A strong understanding of research methodologies and best practices.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and teamwork across diverse teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent time management skills.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify and address project challenges.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Gantt charts, Agile principles).
  • Data-driven individual with the ability to track project progress and generate reports.
