We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Lead to help us in scaling both our infrastructure and tooling to support more users and our growing product engineering organization.
What you'll do
As a Cloud Infrastructure Lead at Mentimeter you will be a hands on engineer as well as a technical team lead of our Platform team; a team responsible for enabling product teams by providing a highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure platform.
You will occupy an influential position within the engineering organization with room to suggest new technology and cloud infrastructure components that our Product teams can use to run their code in a scalable and secure manner. This will also mean close collaboration with our Staff Engineers, to ensure we set our engineering department up for success. Your team’s decisions will greatly impact Mentimeter, our engineers’ productivity, and developers’ experience.
Daily tasks will include tackling different problems with regards to scalability and reliability in AWS using Terraform with your team . Some days you will work with solving incidents and running post mortems, while other days you will engage with other teams to understand requirements and devise technical solutions. Formulation of the Platform team’s technical strategy and long term plan will also be a key part of your work.

Skills & Requirements
Who you are
You will have several years of experience as a developer with strong capability in software development. We believe you have in-depth experience with cloud architecture and specifically AWS. You should also be proficient in Terraform for infrastructure as code, promoting best practices and efficiency. An interest in reliability and observability is a plus.
You have a passion for cloud technologies and improving engineering experience together with your team. Maybe you are an informal or formal tech lead today, with experience from suggesting or driving improvements and new ways of working in the team and organization. You need to be interested in teamwork, evangelizing the solutions your team implements and being a good communicator.
Lastly, we hope that you bring a passion for software development, scalable architecture and building great products. We think you have a curious mindset, are open to learning & sharing knowledge and enjoy working in a team as well as independently.
