Role Overview

As the Sales Director DACH you are a strategic leader responsible for driving Mentimeter's customer growth, success, retention and expansion in DACH. This role involves crafting and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, leading and building a motivated sales team, and working closely with marketing  and product departments to ensure our solutions meet the market's needs. Your goal will be to boost our customer acquisition rates, customer success performance, optimizing sales processes and tactics to achieve and exceed our DACH market revenue targets.
Being an office first company, we believe in the power of working together, you are expected to work from our Stockholm office 3-4 weeks per quarter until we establish a local office presence in any form. 

Key Responsibilities:

These responsibilities highlight the strategic and operational breadth of the Sales Director of DACH role, emphasizing not just the pursuit of sales targets but also the importance of people development, team leadership, strategic planning, and financial management.

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement an effective GTM strategy focused on customer acquisition and customer success within the DACH market. Ensure alignment with the company's growth objectives.

  • Managing a High Performing Sales Team: Oversee the development and performance of the sales management team. Ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to effectively lead their teams and contribute to the company's sales objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team. Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and support.

  • Recruitment and Staffing: Take an active role in the recruitment and staffing process to ensure the sales team is composed of top-tier talent. Work closely with P&C to define hiring needs, participate in the interview process, and make key hiring decisions to strengthen the team.

  • Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure cohesive strategy implementation and to adapt sales approaches based on customer feedback and product developments.

  • Sales Methodology: Continually assess and improve the sales process, methodology and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Creating and Achieving Annual Budget: Develop, propose, and manage the annual sales budget. Ensure optimal allocation of resources to meet strategic goals and adjust forecasts based on performance and market changes.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet and exceed targets.

  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. Use insights to refine sales tactics and identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Represent Mentimeter at industry events and conferences to enhance brand recognition and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5y+) in sales leadership and management in DACH market, in or related to the SaaS industry, with a strong track record of meeting, exceeding sales targets and developing people. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Proven experience from hiring, developing and promoting strong sales talent in the market.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating teams. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
