Join us as a Data Scientist (m/f/d) in our Pooling Analytics team on a shared journey that matters!

We, the Pooling Analytics team, develop methods and tooling to derive insights into ride pooling operations. As a mixed team of closely collaborating data engineers and data scientists, we design and analyze experiments, build data pipelines and dashboards, develop metrics, and model the influence of various parameters and external factors on our service and KPIs. We develop most of our software in Python.

On a typical day, you

  • interact with different product teams at MOIA, understand their algorithms and processes, and develop tools for improving their explainability, observability, and performance.
  • investigate complex patterns in diverse data sources and causal relationships between different components of the MOIA system. Document results as well as high-level findings and explain them to business stakeholders.
  • propose, prototype and implement data analysis and exploration tools that help your colleagues in other teams to examine pooling. Collaborate with product development teams to enable transformation of prototypes to features.
  • are part of an interdisciplinary team that applies modern, cloud-based engineering practices such as continuous integration and deployment, infrastructure as code, code reviews, and pair programming.

We would love to get to know you if you

  • are comfortable in an “all hands on deck” environment, love solving problems, are excited to work in high-performance teams, and can thrive in a startup culture.
  • have a degree in a quantitative scientific discipline and/or work experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst in a commercial environment.
  • have experience in complex analyses on large data sets, developing machine learning methods, or modeling complex systems.
  • are proficient in a language like Python/R/Julia, SQL. Experience with cloud platforms is a big plus.
  • care about code quality and apply software engineering best practices.
  • have experience and fun creating both explanatory and exploratory visualizations of data.
  • are an effective communicator and interested in being part of highly autonomous and cross-functional teams.
  • can communicate in English fluently.

We encourage you to apply even if your profile does not meet all the requirements for the role. We embrace individual growth at MOIA.
