Mondu's goal is to simplify the financial lives of small to medium sized businesses so that they can focus on their core business. We have the vision to disrupt and become the leader in B2B payments - we are building a Buy Now, Pay Later solution for B2B e-commerce businesses.

After a hugely successful initial funding round, we are looking to grow at a phenomenal pace, and this will not be possible without the right people in the team.

What you’ll do:

  • You will define and set up a structured and comprehensive people function for Mondu. 
  • You will lead and be responsible for the teams working in Talent Acquisition, Engagement & Development, Platform & Business Partnering.
  • You will set up job-specific frameworks for talent management with career plans, development opportunities & succession planning for each employee, including leadership development and implementation of the 360° feedback method.
  • You will define and ensure the implementation of Mondu’s growth and recognition opportunities for all employees.
  • You will further develop Mondu’s identity and our diversity & inclusion programs to increase talent engagement, focusing heavily on monitoring and measuring team health across all departments.
  • You will be responsible for the internal communications of Mondu regarding company updates, knowledge sharing, and community building.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • You've gathered relevant business experience and then have honed in 4+ years in an HR or People function.
  • You have at least 2+ years of experience working in an early-stage or growth-stage tech company and have worked closely with co-founders before.
  • You've obtained higher education. 
  • You've set up, developed, or contributed significantly to the People function in an early- or growth-stage startup.
  • You are up to date with the current Talent engagement & development standards and the best practices of talent acquisition, including top-performing talent platforms and products.
  • You will need fluency of both the English and German languages in this role.

It would be a plus if you also:

  • You've gained relevant experience as a consultant in a management consultancy firm (BCG, Bain, McKinsey, etc.)
  • You have an MBA from a top-tier university (Stanford, HBS, INSEAD, etc.)
  • You have an intrinsic interest in fintech and the payments industry.
