Mondu is a Berlin-based Fintech company in the B2B payments space whose purpose is to simplify the financial lives of SMBs so that they can focus on business. Mondu provides a BNPL solution for B2B, which helps merchants and marketplaces to improve conversion rate and protect themselves against default risk, while alleviating the operational burden of collection and dunning. Business buyers benefit from payment flexibility that improves their cash flow and allows them better day-to-day business management.

To-date, Mondu has raised $57 million in financing, with its Series A funding round led by US-based venture capital fund, Valar Ventures. Previous investors Cherry Ventures, FinTech Collective have continued to support Mondu in its Series A.

Our Commercial Team plays an essential role in bringing Mondu's customer-first philosophy to life. The team's mission is to serve customers and partners through the whole value chain journey - offering the right product portfolio, securing a fast onboarding, and smooth technical integration.

What you’ll do:

As a Strategy Associate in our Sales department you will help us take our Sales to the next level. In partnership with our Sales leadership you will crack the most important strategic problems in our Commercial department. You will also be in charge of executing operational, planning and reporting processes that are crucial to our commercial success.

  • Drive strategic and operational projects in our Commercial department to advance our Sales processes and performance.
  • Develop our Sales excellence programs in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, training and promotion frameworks.
  • Track our Sales performance and provide insights and recommendations to our Sales leadership to improve our Sales processes.
  • Improve our reporting and analytics capabilities by setting up insightful reporting and creating data driven insights 
  • Prepare insightful presentations for our senior leadership to update them on the current status of our Sales pipeline.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • 1+ years experience in Strategy Consulting,  Investment Banking or fast-paced startup environment
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to structure complex problems and use data to generate insights and deliver solutions.
  • Strong prioritization skills for tasks and deliverables.
  • Deep experience with Excel and PowerPoint. First experience with Salesforce is a strong plus.
  • Good understanding of the Sales function and general Sales processes. First experience with B2B Sales/Business Development is a strong plus.
  • High level of curiosity and willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Collaborative working style
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal communications
