Mondu is a Berlin-based Fintech company in the B2B payments space whose purpose is to simplify the financial lives of SMBs so that they can focus on business. Mondu provides a BNPL solution for B2B, which helps merchants and marketplaces to improve conversion rate and protect themselves against default risk, while alleviating the operational burden of collection and dunning. Business buyers benefit from payment flexibility that improves their cash flow and allows them better day-to-day business management.

To-date, Mondu has raised $57 million in financing, with its Series A funding round led by US-based venture capital fund, Valar Ventures. Previous investors Cherry Ventures, FinTech Collective have continued to support Mondu in its Series A.

Our Marketing team’s mission is to build awareness of Mondu and its products. We drive the company’s demand and lead generation, by turning research and insights into compelling messages that meet customers when and where they are receptive. 

Our team consists of self-starters who take initiative, think big, and love problem-solving and brainstorming with their teammates, in order to get to the best ideas and best execution.

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a hands-on Product Marketing Manager (f/m/x) to join our Marketing team. In this role, you’re going to apply your experience with B2B SaaS products and develop a deep understanding of customers and competitors in the B2B payments industry. 

You will be responsible for the positioning and messaging of our products, targeting business and technical-oriented audiences. To achieve that, you own customer-facing product communications, such as our website, sales and training materials. 

You work directly with professionals from different backgrounds and expertise, including the Product and R&D teams, Sales,  Customer Success and of course team members in Marketing - such as Performance Marketing, Event Management and Design. 

  • Work on customer journey from strategy to execution - positioning, messaging & copywriting across the applicable channels.
  • Work closely with Product, Sales and Marketing teams to build a compelling narrative of the product for different audiences; address our buyers’ needs and differentiate us from competition (e.g. website, product pages, case studies, newsletters, blogposts, and demo materials).
  • Prepare sales collateral, one-pagers, and help us to develop compelling sales materials so that we can effectively communicate our product and its benefits. 
  • Research and develop our ideal customer profiles and buyer personas.
  • Keep an eye on the competitive landscape to ensure our positioning puts us ahead of competition  (e.g. battle cards).

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • 3+ years applied experience as a product marketing manager, marketing-oriented product owner or in a product-oriented marketing role in a B2B company managing data-driven products.
  • Alternatively you have experience as a marketing manager for a technical product
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - you are able to transform technical product features into understandable and compelling messages for different verticals and personas. 
  • Expertise in developing and delivering high-level presentations and developing sales materials. 
  • Motivation to work in a hyper-growth start-up environment, and passion for the cross between product, marketing and sales
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced, ever-changing, start-up environment, possess a strong sense of ownership.
  • You are eager to take on the opportunity to learn, grow and develop your career. 
  • A people's person, who works well across teams and structures, regardless of geographic boundaries. 
  • Native or equivalent English proficiency is a must.

  • Have experience in Fintech. That’s a MAJOR plus.  
  • Have B1 level German, or above.
