The role:

Your role is to help us successfully bring Moss to the UK and make it the market-leading finance management platform. Moss has already become the best finance management platform in the German market after having developed a deep understanding of the needs of German customers and developing the right solutions to meet those needs. Now we need that same level of deep customer understanding, rigorous prioritization, and expert solution definition, for the UK market.

You will be responsible for first, developing a clear understanding of the finance management needs of businesses in the UK: through customer interviews, a close connection with Moss’ local Sales and Support teams, and collecting insights from local accounting experts. Next, you will evaluate the gaps with Moss’ current product and prioritize and scope solutions for impact. You’ll then define the requirements, with support of our Design team, and partner with our central Product development teams to build the needed solutions. Last, you will ensure that the features are successfully launched and communicated to customers and internal stakeholders. 

What you will do:

  • Collect features candidates for the local market: from local customers & prospects (incl. accountants), Sales team, Support, and local internal accounting expert
  • Drive general product ideas (beyond local market) into the product community
  • Prioritize features based on impact (w/ some support from central PMs)
  • Write detailed requirements for top-prio features (w/ some support from central PMs)
  • Partner effectively with central Product Managers  to prioritize features in their sprint backlogs
  • Partner effectively with the design team (as needed) to create designs
  • Partner effectively with software engineers to clarify requirements.
  • Provides feature copy for local language(s)
  • Coordinating with local Sales and Support (incl. internal training), and managing customer communications, to communicate feature rollouts

What you bring to the table:

  • 2+ years of Product Management / Product Owner experience (or equivalent)
  • Experience leading customer research interviews
  • Practical knowledge in working with multiple cross functional teams, including Sales & Support
