NewsWhip is seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to help with the marketing team’s operations! In this role, you will provide support to the wider team on all marketing initiatives including researching industry trends, producing marketing materials, and inputting client data into our database. You will also assist with event coordination, and receive hands-on-experience building an influential brand in the communications space. 

Day to day responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager, Marketing and Director, Content in gathering research and insights for content 
  • Run monthly metrics report analyzing content performance across digital channels 
  • Contribute to the NewsWhip blog, as well as writing for newsletters and assisting with the production of marketing collateral
  • Ensure the website is updated with the latest content as it’s published, as well as pushed to social media 
  • Help with the organization and coordination of promotional events, such as conferences, webinars, and client/prospect dinners
  • Attend these events representing the NewsWhip marketing team as needed, helping to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently
  • Maintain our database with the most up-to-date marketing assets for company wide use
  • Assist with social media community management and the execution of paid social media campaigns 

What you’ll need

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or another related marketing field 
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Interest in social media, communications, and social technology 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience working with Wordpress or other CRM a plus
  • The right candidate does not need to have every requirement or experience listed, just a passion for learning and a desire to grow.
