THE ROLE
Group Finance is looking for a Corporate Accountant, preferably based in India (Hyderabad) and fluent in English (other languages such as Italian or Spanish would be a plus). You will support on and potentially manage end-to-end corporate entities based in several different countries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Registration and Verification of the correctness (in relation to the contracts in place) of customer and vendor invoices.
- Establish and implement all relevant accounting procedures.
- Maintain the accounting records ensuring proper booking of transactions.
- Review & reconcile all invoices, identify discrepancies and eventually manage payments from different bank accounts.
- Manage and reconcile bank, brokerage and credit card accounts.
- Debt reconciliation.
- Regular and ad hoc report on assets, investment performance, etc.
- Prepare Monthly, quarterly and annual tax packages and supporting documents for various tax jurisdictions and liaise with outside tax accountants.
- Development of economic and financial analysis for initiatives and interventions.
- Support in the preparation of multi-annual budget and management reports and management. accounting in accordance with international accounting standards.
- Interact with and support operating companies.
- Handle clients’ requests and enquiries.
- Have the ability to coordinate and execute special projects where needed.
- Maintain digital and physical financial records.
- Prepare quarterly Group intercompany recharges.
- Monitor and reconcile Group intercompany transactions and open balances.
- Support on statutory audits.
- Expertise in the UK VAT legislation and regulations desirable
- Researched and analyzed complex VAT issues to provide accurate and timely advice to internal teams desirable.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling. You will be expected to together well-written, grammatically correct emails and other communications When communicating verbally – whether over the phone, on video calls, in person or in meetings – you will need to be articulate, warm and engaging.
- Flexibility - being an effective team player means being flexible in your approach and open to getting involved with new things, even if they are not spelled out in your job description.
- Intellectual Curiosity – Technical Management is a broad and nuanced field and we are looking for someone who is truly interested in our profession and has the intellectual curiosity to delve deep into topics and bring fresh ideas into the team.
- IT Literacy - you need to be comfortable with IT systems and working with data (you should have at least intermediate-level excel).
- Delivery focus – it may sound obvious, but the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs really matters!
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 5 years in accounting. Previous experience in Administration (Accounting Customers / Suppliers).
- Good knowledge in accounting, fiscal and secretarial activities.
- Ability to prepare reports and accounting reconciliation.
- Ability to work managing multiple task lists interfacing with various internal and external counterparts.
- Adequate knowledge of tax rules and IFRS strongly preferred.
- Autonomy in the performance of individual assignments.
- Fluent English written and spoken.
