So, what’s the role all about?
Individuals within the Cloud System Administrator role are responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. They will maintain and contribute to the ongoing reliability, performance, and support of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring the operating environments; responding to incidents, problems, and providing assistance to other teams as necessary. Systems Administrators maintain Server Operating Systems, Patching, Performance, and Cloud environments as well as related utilities and hardware.
How will you make an impact?
- Maintain, monitor, and support a production infrastructure environment
- Supports multiple systems or applications of medium to high complexity
- Performs routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patching, application versions, etc.
- Manage Mail, DNS, FTP, IIS, and Application environments
- Set up and maintain server system and file security
- Participate in the On-Call rotation
- Work with cabling, racking, and other tasks in Physical Data Centers (Some Travel Will Be Required)Other duties as assigned by the hiring manager
Have you got what it takes?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience required
- Windows Server 2019 Operating System
- OS Patching and Critical Updates
- Intermediate Level of System Troubleshooting Skills
- 2+ years working in a large production infrastructure
- 2+ years in Windows Server Administration in a Production Environment
- 2+ years configuring server hardware and OS
- Knowledge of Windows Domains, Active Directory, DNS, Mail
- Experience managing VMware environment
- Experience working with Hardware Replacements/Vendor Work
You will have an advantage if you also have:
- Experience working in a PCI / FedRAMP-compliant environment
- Experience working with Change Management
- Experience managing HP-branded servers
- Linux Administration
- Experience monitoring and maintaining AWS environments.
- Experience monitoring and maintaining Azure environments.
- Experience working with PowerShell and other scripting languages
