Responsibilities:
The Data Center Engineer will report to the Company’s Director. He or she will work closely with the firm’s senior management on a variety of tasks, including:
- Physical installation, configuration and troubleshooting servers, switches and other hardware equipment in the company’s data centers
- Keeping the company’s data center’s and shared spaces clean and well organized
- Coordinate with service providers to troubleshoot and test the company’s private leased lines
- Maintaining asset inventory list for the company’s data centers
- Managing orders, shipments, returns and repairs for the company’s hardware equipment
Qualifications:
The ideal requirements for our candidates are:
- An understanding of networking concepts (VPN, IP routing, consoles, networking)
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Experience in running patch cables
- Knowledge of GSuite products such as Google Sheets
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English for business purposes
- A demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and to lead them independently to successful conclusions
- Candidate should be able to work flexible hours when required, including late nights and weekends in order to access data centers
- Candidate should be able to travel regionally and internationally
