In less than four years, we’ve sold over 3 million products worldwide, including Phone (1), which was listed on Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2022 for Innovative Smartphone Design. In 2023, we released two second-generation products: the powerful audio companion Ear (2) and the highly anticipated Phone (2), marking our US debut.

We also launched CMF by Nothing, our sub-brand focused on making wonderful design accessible to all. In March 2024, we welcomed our third smartphone, Phone (2a). A powerfully unique device that enables even more people to experience the best of Nothing innovation. 

A few weeks later in April 2024, we welcomed our new audio line-up. Introducing Ear, our best-ever audio experience, and Ear (a); the brightest, most vivid new member of the Nothing family.

We are looking to hire a PR Manager to work with all our media friends and coordinate PR activities in India. This person will be working closely with our Communications Lead and Senior Manager - Public Relations in India. The successful candidate will be a strategic individual and willing to take on an ever changing role, with at least 2 years of experience in a rapidly growing business environment. Having worked in consumer tech or hardware space is a plus. This role will require the candidate to be flexible, open-minded and output driven with a strong sense of ownership. 

What you’ll do: 

  1.  Execute PR strategies: Coordinate with local and global consumer communications and campaigns teams to drive news cycles. You will be key to securing “rolling thunder” coverage every month in the India region

  2. Cultivate media relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and industry influencers to secure media coverage and positive brand mentions. Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and manage media databases.

  3. Manage influencer partnerships: Identify, engage, and manage relationships with key influencers, bloggers, YouTubers, and social media personalities. Collaborate with them on product reviews, endorsements, and other influencer-driven marketing initiatives to amplify brand awareness and drive consumer engagement.

  4. Create influencer program: Create an influencer program to develop relationships with up and coming influencers across tech, lifestyle and music. Ideate on collaborations and events.

  5. Content creation and distribution: Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop compelling PR and influencer content, such as press releases, articles, blog posts, social media campaigns, and multimedia assets. Ensure consistent messaging and timely distribution across relevant channels.

  6. Monitor and measure PR impact: Track and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and influencer partnerships. Monitor media coverage, social media sentiment, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the success of PR initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

  7. Crisis management: Proactively manage potential PR crises and develop crisis communication strategies. Respond promptly and effectively to media inquiries and negative brand mentions, ensuring accurate information dissemination and brand reputation management.

  8. Industry monitoring and trend analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging PR and influencer marketing strategies. Use this knowledge to identify opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

  • 6 - 8 years of relevant experience;
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification in PR or influencer marketing is a plus.
  • Proven work experience working on PR or in a similar role, preferably within the mobile phone industry or technology sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to craft compelling press releases, articles, and other PR content. Proficiency in adapting communication styles for different audiences and platforms.
  • Proficient in media monitoring and PR analytics tools. Experience in measuring and reporting on PR and influencer marketing KPIs. The role requires the person to be data-focused and work on optimization
  • Strong understanding of PR strategies, media relations, and influencer marketing principles. Familiarity with social media platforms, content marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing media relationships and securing positive media coverage. Proven ability to develop and execute effective PR campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and creative thinker, with the ability to generate innovative PR ideas and identify new influencer partnership opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and influencers.
