We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as the VP Finance. As the VP Finance, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's financial success and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This position reports directly to the CEO and will be a vital member of the executive management team.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide decision-making at the executive and board level.
- Identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement to support sustainable growth.
- Financial Management:
- Lead financial analysis, reporting, and control activities to monitor and assess the company's financial performance.
- Implement best practices in financial management and accounting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimization of resources.
- Monitor cash flow and capital management to support operational needs and long-term investments.
- Legal Compliance:
- Oversee all legal matters related to the company's operations, contracts, and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel when required to address complex legal issues.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and legal team, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and other members of the executive management team to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Work with the board of directors to present financial performance, forecasts, and strategic plans, and address any financial concerns or inquiries they may have.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Oversee financial audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audit processes.
- Maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets and prevent fraudulent activities.
- Global Operations and M&As:
- Utilize experience in a global company to navigate international financial and legal landscapes, addressing any challenges or opportunities that arise.
- Participate in mergers and acquisitions (M&As) or similar corporate finance activities, conducting due diligence and financial evaluations to support the company's growth strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CPA qualification is a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in finance and accounting leadership roles, preferably within technology or SaaS companies.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in a global company, with a track record of navigating complex financial environments and diverse regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&As) or similar corporate finance activities.
- Solid knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance relevant to the technology industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and proactive approach to work, with a focus on continuous improvement.
