About The Role

Payhawk is looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join our stellar finance team in Sofia. You will work closely with the Accounting, Tax, Billing, FP&A and Procurement to manage and improve our group’s financial performance. You will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing financial policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Responsible for monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting of Payhawk group – ensure accurate and timely reporting to management, investors, regulators.
  • Review of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS.
  • System Implementation and Automation: Support the implementation of Oracle NetSuite and build relevant financial reports within the system.
  • Drive automation of financial reports with the support of our BI department.
  • Evaluate and recommend financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights and recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources and ensure financial stability of the entities in scope.
  • Financial Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Audit: Support external and internal audits. Liaise with auditors to provide necessary information and documentation and ensure audit objectives are met in a timely manner.
  • Business Partnering: Act as an advisor in key business projects to ensure compliant and efficient decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure efficient communication flow within different finance functions and across wider organization.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA or similar certification preferred.
  • 8+ work experience in finance of which 3+ as a Financial Controller or similar role in a multinational company
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of IFRS
  • Very strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • A process-oriented mind that is not afraid to challenge existing processes and build new ones
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
  • Writes and speaks fluent English
  • Very good computer literacy and skills: ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite is a plus), financial accounting systems, MS Office
