QphoX is looking for a new member to join us in developing and building our quantum transducers. We are a team with many nationalities and educational backgrounds. We are looking to expand our team with a Nanofabrication Process Engineer. As a member of our team, you will help develop and produce the next generation of integrated transducers and take their performance to the next level. You will be trained to become part of one of the world’s leading groups in developing microwave to optical transducers, working with the most advanced techniques and state-of-the-art tools available.


You will be involved in:

  • Being a tool owner / process owner for QphoX’s nanofabrication equipment
  • Operating nanofabrication processes and ensuring their quality (operation, calibration and optimization)
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and specifications
  • Implementing and enhancing Standard Protocols for the fabrication of the transducers
  • Working in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of employees


Skills and knowledge you will bring to QphoX:

  • Experience working in a laboratory/cleanroom or with nanofabrication tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dry etch principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
  • Positive towards working within a team
  • Good organizational and planning skills to achieve set goals on time.
  • A self-learning, analytic and problem-solving mindset
  • No prior experience in or knowledge of quantum physics is required.

Supplementary skills set:

  • Experience with industrial nano/micro-fabrication processes
  • Maintenance of nanofabrication tools
  • Experience with monitoring and ensuring reproducibility of nano/micro-fabrication processes
  • Materials characterization/metrology

Background and Education level required:

  • Degree in Material Sciences, Nanoscience, Chemistry, Applied Sciences, Physics, or in a related field
  • BSc, HBO or equivalent
