QphoX is looking for an Electronics Engineer to join us in developing and building our quantum modem. In order to achieve our mission, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates with engineering skills and resourcefulness.

You will be involved in:
- Help us design, develop, and build supporting hardware for our microwave to optical transducers.
- Working with Python software to interact with the embedded hardware
- Contributing to electronic design activities and upgrade embedded hardware
- Overall maintenance of our products
- Managing projects and communicating the results of the different projects you will run
- Working in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists
- Learning about photonics and their control methods
Skills and knowledge you will bring to QphoX:
- BSc/MSc with practical experience
- Proven knowledge and experience using schematic capture and PCB design software like Altium.
- Programming with C / C++ experience.
- Desing for manufacturing and design for testing knowledge
- Programming with Python for data acquisition, measurement and/or analysis
- Simulation, design and debugging of analog and digital circuits
- At least 2 years of proven experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers, scientists and technicians with a wide range of expertise
- Good organizational and planning skills to achieve set goals on time
- Capacity to learn new tools and techniques
Supplementary skills set:
- Experience with analog and digital converters, amplifiers, passive/active filtering, frequency mixing, and low noise design techniques
- Understanding of microwave engineering principles
- Writing drivers/wrappers for communication interfaces
- Working knowledge of control systems and signal processing
- Experience designing hardware for scalability and robustness
- Strong background in particularly (but not limited to) sectors such as mechatronics, telecommunications or robotics.
