⚙️The role

We’re hiring a Head of Partnerships (Sales) to lead us in our next phase of growth.

You'll lead Sales to grow our customer base by forging partnerships with some of the biggest names in web2 and web3. You’ll partner closely to drive revenue - from winning our biggest deals alongside our CEO and CCO, to the ongoing support of hungry, talented Marketing, Account Management, Commercial Excellence, and Product teams.

This role is a unique beast. If you’re a hustler who understands the industry and its nuances, this will give you an edge. Likewise, if working with the global crypto whales (i.e. Metamask, Trustwallet, Ledger, etc) and well-known web2 brands is something that excites you, rather daunts you, then you’re in for a ride. 

Don’t get us wrong - while hustle and scrappiness will help, we certainly don’t want a lone wolf. You’ll lead sales end-to-end, which means we need a willing, talented leader who has the skills (and desire) to diligently implement sales process and use of data in execution, as well as providing a foundation of extraordinary coaching.

In practice, you’ll be responsible for things like:

  • Building and inspiring a high-performance, international Sales organisation
  • Championing and building conviction in a Sales strategy and plan
  • Hitting sales targets across deal sizes (from £100k+ to £100m+ of volume)
  • Coordinating deal closure across C-level, product, engineering, legal & compliance
  • Using performance data to inform actions and report on progress vs. targets
  • Driving sales effectiveness & efficiency through tools, systems and processes
  • Feeding first-hand customer insights to Marketing

You’ll come into an unusual combination of ambition, urgency, capital, warmth and belief - you’ll report into Jose, Chief Commercial Officer, a champion for this role. So if you’re comfortable dreaming big, motivated by a winner-takes-most challenge and want to have one of the most critical roles on a growth journey, this could be your jam.

You’ll have all or some of:

  1. Have deep B2B/SaaS sales experience, probably with a technical product
  2. A track record of exceeding sales targets as an individual and leader
  3. Can build a compelling sales plan from qual, quant & intuition
  4. Show a strong grasp of using sales processes, tools and data in scaling teams
  5. Have exceptional web3 understanding, which you communicate with confidence

Outside of these hard skills, we’ll look for the foundations of a brilliant senior leader: 

  1. Has incisive, plain English communication;
  2. Champions their function, but puts the company first;
  3. Builds trust and psychological safety;
  4. Brings little ego;
  5. Has extraordinary stamina;
  6. Is dependable; and
  7. Is pragmatic

It’s worth saying that there’s likely to be frequent travel for both crypto and payments conferences and at times, deal processes - a few days per month on average - so please make sure you’re comfortable with travel.

💰 Salary: ~£115k base, £185k OTE (uncapped), with meaningful equity

The first stage is for you to share, in writing and a call, your experiences that would help you thrive as our Head of Sales. We treat these written answers and short calls together like a typical first round interview - we ask only the most important things and consider your answers with the same care it takes to write them.
