Job Description:
As a Regional Campaigns and Training Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating and developing campaigns across your area. Alongside executing high-quality and well-organised campaigns, you will also assist with the training and development of local Branches and volunteers. This is a pivotal role which will help our rapidly growing organisation produce the most professional and effective campaigns of any political party.
Key responsibilities:
Campaign Management:
- Oversee and lead local government campaigning in target areas across your Region.
- Create and implement campaign strategies, including production of high quality literature and digital campaigns.
- Ensure Branches build sufficient delivery networks and regularly collect voting intentions.
- Work with Branch Officers and volunteers to identify any key local issues which can be used in campaigns.
Candidate and Volunteer Recruitment:
- Identify, recruit and train candidates and volunteers in the best campaign practices and techniques.
- Support Branches with candidate and volunteer recruitment.
- Ensure there is a Reform UK candidate in any by-election or set of local elections within your Region.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and support for local Branches and volunteers on best practice campaign methods.
- Assist Branch Officers and local Campaign Co-ordinators with implementing new campaign techniques.
- Support and assist the Candidate Centre of Excellence training programme, specifically including the Regional Training Team.
Administrative Duties:
- Oversee Branch reports on campaign progress, branch development and volunteer recruitment.
- Provide regular updates to Reform UK HQ leadership on progress within your Region.
- Help ensure Branches have sufficient funds to execute effective campaigns.
- Work alongside your Region’s Regional Director and County Organisers in identifying any local Branch or campaigning issues.
- Ensure any projects produced by the Campaigns and Training team are implemented by local Branches and campaigns.
Qualification and Skills:
Essential:
- Proven experience in political campaign management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate voluntary party membership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the voluntary and professional party.
- Ability to work independently, meeting deadlines and managing multiple campaigns.
- Flexible working hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of the UK political landscape and a commitment to Reform UK’s values and objectives.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- Detailed knowledge of your Region’s political landscape and different local policy issues.
- Experience with digital campaigning tools and techniques.
