Position Description

Senior Financial Accountant – Fixed Term 

18 Month Fixed Term Contract: Full Time 
Location: Vietnam / Hanoi 

Reporting to the Financial Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the provision of high-quality accounting support to the broader financial function, including the delivery of projects and other value adding items. 

The role is an 18-month Fixed Term maternity leave replacement. 

Major Responsibilities 

  • Preparation of Consolidated Monthly Financial reporting for our subsidiaries 
  • Month end duties, including General ledger reconciliations and Profit & Loss ownership to ensure RightShip meets its statutory and reporting obligations  
  • Preparation of monthly Margin & Annual Contract Value reporting within month-end timeframes 
  • Delivering Audit requirements within timeframes, including liaison with external auditors 
  • Driving process improvements across finance systems and reporting, including implementations and developments 
  • Tax compliance requirements 
  • Adhoc financial projects  

Qualifications, Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor of Business / Commerce, majoring in Accounting or Finance – mandatory 
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA – mandatory 
  • Experience working within the financial operations of a small or medium global international businesses or in an accounting public practise highly regarded 
  • Experience in Consolidated Financial Reporting across multiple currencies essential 
  • Experience (intermediate level or higher) with NetSuite accounting software (ERP) & Salesforce (CRM) highly regarded, but not mandatory 
  • Advanced excel skills required 
  • Experience in developing financial reporting automations highly considered 
  • Experience in being the main point of contact for External Audits 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
