We're seeking an experienced Agile Coach/Scrum Master to guide and mentor our development teams in adopting and improving Agile methodologies.  The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for Agile principles, a skilled facilitator, and a strong communicator who thrives in collaborative environments.  They should possess a proven track record of successfully implementing and scaling Agile frameworks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving team effectiveness.

About the Team

Our development teams utilize Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions.  We're committed to continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative, self-organizing environment.  The Agile Coach/Scrum Master will work closely with these teams, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure successful project execution and team performance.

Skills & Responsibilities<

Agile Expertise & Facilitation:

  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring development teams in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, values, and frameworks.
  • Skilled in facilitating Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective).
  • Ability to effectively remove impediments and foster collaboration within and between teams.
  • Experience with various Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
  • Proficient in using Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
  • Strong understanding of Agile metrics and reporting.
  • Ability to tailor Agile practices to suit the specific needs of different teams and projects.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

  • Demonstrated success in building strong relationships with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
  • Proactive and effective communicator, able to identify and address potential roadblocks.
  • Ability to facilitate conflict resolution and promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and managing expectations.
  • Skilled in leading workshops and training sessions on Agile practices.

Continuous Improvement & Coaching:

  • Passionate about continuous improvement and implementing innovative Agile solutions.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement in team processes and suggest effective solutions.
  • Experience in coaching teams on self-organization, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Proficient in facilitating retrospectives and implementing action plans to address identified issues.
  • Ability to mentor team members on Agile principles and best practices.

Desired Experience

  • Significant experience as an Agile Coach/Scrum Master within a software development environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with various Agile scaling frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members on Agile best practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and scaling Agile frameworks.
