Communications Manager - Soho House

The Role…

Soho House first opened its doors in the UK and is home to popular Houses such as Soho Farmhouse, 40 Greek Street and Shoreditch House. In 2022 we opened our first UK seaside outpost, Brighton Beach House and new Houses will include Soho House Manchester opening this year. As Communications Manager you will be responsible for this significantly important region to the business. The role leads all communications for Soho House and our member offering as well as related brands (eg Soho Home, Soho Works) 

Based in our Global Support Office in London, the role is responsible for driving a creative, multi-media, achievable communications plan that communicates who Soho House is and how the brand will develop across the UK. The successful candidate will also play a key role in internal communications for Soho House globally, overseeing day to day management of our internal platform and the running of quarterly all-company Town Hall meetings.

 

Main Duties…

  • Lead all UK communications for Soho House including new and existing Houses, Soho Home, Soho Works, Health Clubs and Public Restaurant's, under the guidance of the Head of Communications.
  • Develop communications plans designed to deliver coverage and content across traditional, digital media and social influencers.
  • Create media kits, announcement alerts, product mailers and other relevant materials for use in press outreach.
  • Play an active role in developing UK media and creator relationships across lifestyle, travel, food, fashion, interiors, design publications and influential voices.
  • Day-to-day management of the internal communications platform and assisting with content creation for leadership team members.
  • Lead the content and production of quarterly all-company Town Hall meetings.
  • Be the eyes and ears for the communications team protecting brand reputation; monitor the press inbox and enquiries, compiling weekly reports etc

 

What We Are Looking For...

  •  A minimum of 5 years of agency or in-house experience, with a proven track record of generating thoughtful ideas and securing media coverage and content with social influencers.
  • Good understanding of the industry and relationships with journalists, editors and creators across travel, food, fashion, design, interiors and general lifestyle publications.
  • Excellent writing skills. Needs to understand the brand’s tone of voice and ensure communications across the group are consistent and on-brand.
  • Firm understanding of social media platforms.
  • High level of attention to detail, organised and proactive
  • Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change priorities without frustration and maintain a calm disposition
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves, can-do attitude, and willingness to help and support a small friendly team
