Who we are supporting
The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) is a key agency within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) focused on providing comprehensive logistics, procurement, and support services to NATO member countries, partners, and other customers. The NSPA facilitates the collective acquisition and management of goods and services, ranging from military equipment to general supplies, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of NATO operations.
The agency's responsibilities include:
- Procurement: managing the acquisition of a wide range of goods and services, including military equipment, supplies, and support services.
- Logistics: offering logistics support such as transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure that NATO forces have the necessary resources when and where they are needed.
- Maintenance: providing maintenance and repair services for military equipment, ensuring operational readiness and extending the lifespan of assets.
- Project Management: overseeing and implementing various projects, including infrastructure development and other support activities.
The NSPA operates under the direction of the NATO Support and Procurement Organization (NSPO), which sets the strategic goals and policies for the agency. By centralizing and standardizing procurement and logistics services, the NSPA helps NATO members achieve cost savings, improved interoperability, and enhanced operational capability.
The program
The NSPA Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services are relying on three underlying infrastructures:
Network
- Local Area Networks (LANs) to allow NSPA users to reachback ICT systems located in the NSPA datacenters.
- Wide Area Networks (WANs) to allow NSPA remote offices and mobile users to securely reach back the NSPA datacenters located in Luxembourg
- Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) to securely interconnect NSPA datacenters and Outside Cabling Plants (OCPs) located in Luxemourg.
Unified Communication (UC)
- Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems,
- Telephony systems composed of PBX, voice gateways, deskphones, softphones, mobile phones and smartphones.
- Interfaces with other communication services such as voice mail, instant messaging, collaboration (e.g. MS SKYPE).
- Federation with other NATO voice and video services.
- Public Announcement Systems (PAS) and Massive SMS notification systems alarms
Datacenters (DC)
- 2 Tier 4 datacenters externalized in Betzdorf and Bettembourg (LUX)
- 1 datacenter in Capellen (LUX)
- Smaller datacenters in Papa (HUN), Taranto (SOC) and Eindhoven (NL)
- Outside Cabling Plants (OCPs) in Capellen
Role Duties and Responsibilities
Day-to-day Operation and Maintenance (O&M) type of consultancy services for network, Unified Communication (UC) and datacenter (DC) and support for projects related to specific network, UC and DC related projects.
Essential Skills and Experience

Competencies
- Good communications skills.
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in a technical networking or telecoms role, implementing and supporting LAN and WAN networking infrastructures
NATO Experience
- 2 years minimum experience with NATO organization, NATO IT infrastructure's (network, unified communication and security) and NATO IT related policies is desirable.

Working Location
- Capellen, Luxembourg
Working Hours and Policy
- On-Site, according to NSPA flexible working hours: Monday to Thursday (07:00 – 19:00) and Friday (07:00 – 14:00)
- Public Holidays of Luxembourg will be applicable
Travel
- Travel to other NATO sites may be required occasionally: Versailles (FRA), Papa (HUN), Taranto (ITA), Eindhoven (NL) and Cologne (GE).
Security Clearance
- Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
