What Will Your Role Be

As a (Senior) Software Developer, you will be responsible for advancing the development of our sign-in and sign-up components, focusing on the underlying authentication and authorization functions. You will work on improving the platform by evaluating, developing, deploying, and managing services that enhance its overall functionality and user experience. In this role, you will automate test scenarios using both standard tools and custom-built solutions, ensuring high-quality code and efficient workflows. You will also collaborate with other development teams, providing guidance and support with your technical expertise.

Your analytical skills will be key as you analyze, prioritize, and address potential issues and challenges within the system, working with your team to ensure smooth and scalable development processes.

What You´ll Do

• Responsible for the further development of sign-in and sign-up components and the underlying function of authentication and authorization.
• Evaluation, development, deployment and management of services to improve the overall security of the platform
• Automate test scenarios with standard tools or self-developed software
• Support other development teams with your expertise
• Analyze threat situations and evaluate, prioritize and mitigate them together as a team

What You´ll Bring

• Deep knowledge of software development in Java or Kotlin and the corresponding frameworks Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security
• Additional knowledge of a language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, go) for tooling and tests would be nice
• Ability to deal with databases (e.g. MySQL, NoSQL) and their programming
• An affinity with Linux and familiarity with Docker
• Familiar with distributed systems and their challenges
• Ability to take the lead in planning software architectures and long-term roadmaps
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• An understanding of software security principles, secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, especially for web applications is a plus
• Good command of German and English
