WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

For this role, we do not require previous experience in the cybersecurity industry, however, we think candidates with the following skills and experience are likely to succeed within Cyber Advisory at S-RM.

We’re looking for someone that is able to adapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, this person will have some or all of these skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Dutch) – this will be used in directly consulting with our clients over time.
  • An interest and willingness to learn about risk assessment and advisory work within cybersecurity.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • A desire to work in a client facing role and engage with clients.
  • Project management experience (beneficial, not a requirement).
  • Some prior consulting experience (beneficial, not a requirement)

 

THE ROLE

Our Advisory Analysts are a critical part of our project teams and our cyber security division’s success. Our typical project teams comprise Engagement Managers, Associates, and Analysts.  As an Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering key elements of our advisory work, with the direction and support of Associates and Engagement Managers. You will work across the full spectrum of cyber risk management and governance projects, helping your clients to build cyber resilience, enhance their understanding of the threat landscape and become better prepared to face dynamic and evolving security risks.

Once trained in this role, your likely role requirements will involve:

Cyber Security Consultancy

  • Framework Assessments
    • Support in fact-finding workshops with client stakeholders across operational and leadership levels
    • Develop remedial “Roadmaps” to improve client security
  • Strategic Consultancy
    • Advise clients on cyber security strategy and achieving return on investment
    • Develop response plans, policy and procedures
    • Communicate complex technical language into easy-to-understand guidance for executives
  • Training and Exercising
    • Develop and deliver cyber security training packages on a range of topics
    • Develop and facilitate incident response and resilience exercises at operational and managerial levels
  • Threat Intelligence
    • Keep abreast of threat intelligence developments, threat actor activity and security industry developments in mitigations and tooling
    • Develop and deliver client threat profiles, threat assessments and dark web analysis

 

All candidates must have permission to work in the Netherlands by the start of their employment.

The role will be based in our Utrecht office. However, we have flexible working arrangements available.
