Stenn is looking to hire a Data Platform Engineer. At Stenn we believe that making use of data should be simple, efficient and safe. As a Data platform engineer, you will help us to build a data platform which enables Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts and Business Functions to move quickly and safely when trying to leverage data. You take ownership of your domain and you proactively determine improvements. You create strong relationships across the business to inform what you and the team should be building.
As a Data Platform Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing infrastructure to support our Data Platform, with attention to best engineering practices, scalability, availability and efficiency from a cost perspective
- Building out our CI/CD pipelines, including those to deliver application code (dbt, etc) and infrastructure
- Building out Infrastructure as Code (terraform or OpenTofu) to support multiple components of the platform, including our Snowflake Data Warehouse, Workflow Management Solution, Observability, Feature Stores, ML pipelines, etc
- Building complex data ingestion pipelines
- Building and maintaining tooling which allows us to remain compliant from a data regulatory perspective
- Working on Data Governance aspects such as meta-data management, privacy and data quality
How do you know if you are the right candidate?
- Good knowledge of the modern data stack, specifically Snowflake and dbt
- Good knowledge of maintaining data infrastructure as code using Terraform or OpenTofu
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of workflow management tools like Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, etc
- Excellent communication skills
- A keen desire to learn and improve
