Stenn are looking for a Collections Specialist. Could this be you?

As a Collections Specialist, you will be with the Finance team within our Operations department. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all RBF and IF customer accounts in the USA, ensuring timely settlement in accordance with agreed terms.

 

Main Duties:

  • Supervise the administration of overdue customer accounts for Stenn's RBF and IF products.
  • Manage delinquent accounts with sensitivity and professionalism, implementing revised payment structures and legal strategies when necessary.
  • Work alongside legal, risk, and revenue teams to implement collection strategies, develop payment plans, and establish operational procedures to ensure efficient collections.
  • Work closely with the tech team to ensure the creation of best-in-class solutions for executing collection strategies. 
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in collections within both the industry and the USA market. 
  • Gain expertise in industry trends for collection and incorporate them into our strategy, ensuring adaptability and competitiveness.
  • Leading negotiations with delinquent customers to establish repayment plans and resolve outstanding issues, escalating complex cases when necessary.
  • Implement dispute resolution processes to promptly and effectively address customer requests.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date record-keeping of all collection activities.
  • Generate regular reports for management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators. 
  • Collaborate with the data and tech teams to develop tools that enhance reporting quality and provide valuable insights.
  • Provide feedback to RBF and Risk team to fine tune underwriting strategies to minimise downstream losses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organisation policies and procedures related to collection operations.
  • Monitor standard incoming payments and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer repayment performance within the portfolio , actively contributing to improving our collections outcome.

 

How do you know if you are the right candidate?

 

  • Degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, accounting. 
  • A few years of experience as a Debt Collection Specialist or a similar position in Fintech or Financial services is required in this role. 
  • A proven track record of successfully reducing delinquencies and losses. 
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and collections best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. 
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to stay effective and motivated in a fast-paced environment.
