The Finance Business Partner (FBP) for Romania Online is a trusted, objective, and reliable partner for the key stakeholders and decision-makers in the business, playing a lead role for planning, monitoring, evaluating, reporting, and steering the business to deliver the target performance objectives for both short and long term. This involves developing strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the business and working together to proactively identify actionable insights, make recommendations and successfully implement actions that will drive sustainable value creation. In addition, FBP is a key enabler for efficient finance operations in the dedicated business area and continuously looks for simplification and automation opportunities that will make the business more agile while maintaining high standards of governance and control.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Is fluent in both spoken and written English;
  • Has a university degree in Finance or Accounting;
  • Has strong analytical skills with Excel modeling skills and attention to detail (data accuracy);
  • Has the ability to present complex information in a simplified manner and clearly explain Finance concepts to non-Finance stakeholders;
  • Has strong engagement, presentation, and communication skills with experience in working closely and influencing senior stakeholders; 
  • Demonstrates experience in balancing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines;
  • Has the ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives;
  • Has the ability to work fluidly with data and across systems;
  • Proactively seeks and comes up with improvement proposals for the processes in place
  • Problem Solving: you use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions;
  • Leadership: you consistently demonstrate an engaging leadership style and positive attitude, with an ambition to improve the status quo;

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare and Review standard reporting for the key areas of responsibility (i.e. Romania Online)
  • Act as the first point of contact for all cost and budget control queries, identify trends and insight related to spend, intervene and proactively engage and advise budget owners;
  • Proactively reviews and identifies cost-saving opportunities and work cross-functionally to incorporate these initiatives;
  • Collate, challenge and submit the cost and budget control forecast;
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as required;
  • Drive consistency across categories and proactively make recommendations for improving accounting, controlling and reporting processes relating to cost and budget control;
  • Understand and implement ZBB (Zero Based Budgeting) recommendations;
  • Ensure master data includes all relevant cost centers and chart of accounts required to perform relevant analysis and support critical decisions needed;
  • Keep close contact with the group controlling team to comply with the latest accounting treatments within the group;
  • Contributes to developing of efficient tools/systems/processes and reporting digitalization;
  • Contributes to the development of a high-performing culture by maintaining a positive approach, encouraging open communication, providing support and feedback for colleagues etc.
  • Updates job knowledge by engaging in learning & development opportunities.
