Your Role at SurePay
We’re looking for an innovative and proactive Product Manager to lead the development of our Fraud Risk Indicator (FRI) modules and other new fraud prevention initiatives. This isn’t just about enhancing existing solutions; it’s about ideating, creating, and launching entirely new products that address real customer pain points.
As a Product Manager at SurePay, you will drive the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch. Leveraging Lean Startup principles, you'll identify customer problems and validate hypotheses through experiments, shaping the next generation of our fraud prevention solutions.
You will continuously improve our products and services, define new innovations, identify growth areas, and support key customers from a product perspective.
You’ll have the autonomy to identify trends, engage with stakeholders, and translate insights into actionable strategies. Reporting to our Co-Founder and Head of Product, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving SurePay’s growth in the fraud prevention space.
What You’ll Do
- Shape the Product Roadmap: Develop a forward-looking fraud prevention roadmap that aligns with market trends and customer needs, anticipating future challenges and opportunities. You will also communicate the roadmap to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Customer-Centric Innovation: Conduct in-depth discussions with bank fraud departments and corporate clients to gain insights into their challenges, identify potential solutions, and understand market needs and requirements.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: Own the product lifecycle, from ideation and experimentation to development and go-to-market strategies, using Build-Measure-Learn principles.
- Lean Startup Principles: Employ Lean Startup methodologies to identify customer problems, define target audiences, and run experiments to validate hypotheses.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business analysts, product owners, fraud specialists, and external consultants to deliver impactful solutions.
- Lead with Insight: Stay ahead of fraud prevention legislation, technology advancements, and market dynamics to ensure SurePay’s products remain innovative and competitive.
- Drive Engagement: Represent SurePay in customer and industry meetings, building trust and fostering collaboration to enhance our offerings.
- Beta and Pilot Programs: Oversee beta and pilot programs for early-stage products, ensuring thorough testing and feedback collection.
- Partnerships and Licensing: Evaluate and manage partnerships and licensing opportunities with external third party data providers, to improve our products and/or find synergies that are beneficial for our customers.
- Competitive Analysis: Maintain knowledge of competitor activities to ensure SurePay’s products remain competitive and innovative.
- Strategic Contribution: Ensure products support SurePay’s overall strategy and long-term goals, contributing to the company’s growth and innovation roadmap.
What You Bring
- Proven Expertise: At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally in the payments, KYC, or fraud prevention sectors, with a strong track record of launching successful products.
- Sales Experience Advantage: Familiarity with selling to banks is a significant plus, giving you an edge in understanding their processes and needs.
- Strategic Vision: A bird’s-eye view of market trends, customer needs, and product opportunities (not just execution but ideation and strategy).
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with APIs, SaaS products, and backend systems. Experience with data science and machine learning for fraud prevention is a plus.
- Data Proficiency: Savvy with data and analytics, with experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools.
- Customer-Focused Mindset: Exceptional ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, from corporate clients to technical teams, and translate their insights into actionable product features.
- Go-Getter Attitude: Self-motivated, adaptable, and unafraid to move forward without all of the information
- Excellent Communication: Fluency in English, with a knack for making complex ideas simple and compelling. Excellent presentation skills.
