Your job at SurePay

SurePay is dedicated to innovation and excellence in fraud prevention. We are looking for a dynamic Product Manager to join our team and lead the expansion of our Fraud Risk Indicator product. Additionally, this role will focus on exploring opportunities for new fraud prevention products and features like the Enhanced Fraud Data (EFD) initiative for banks and PSP’s in the UK.

As a Product Manager at SurePay, you will drive the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch. Leveraging Lean Startup principles, you'll identify customer problems and validate hypotheses through experiments, shaping the next generation of our fraud prevention solutions.

You will continuously improve our products and services, define new innovations, identify growth areas, and support key customers from a product perspective. 

This is a key role in our fast-growing fintech company, reporting directly to our Co-Founder and Head of Product. We are primarily looking for the candidates based in Europe and with the knowledge of the local banking/anti-fraud scene.



Key responsibilities

  • Product Planning and Execution: Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through to go-live with the first customer, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Lean Startup Principles: Employ Lean Startup methodologies to identify customer problems, define target audiences, and run experiments to validate hypotheses.
  • Customer Engagement: Regularly engage with customers to gain insights into their challenges, identify potential solutions, and understand market needs and requirements.
  • Market and Product Requirements: Develop comprehensive market understanding and translate this knowledge into product requirements, including prioritized features and a well-defined business case focusing on impact and revenue.
  • Vision and Roadmap Communication: Define and clearly communicate the product vision and roadmap to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Beta and Pilot Programs: Oversee beta and pilot programs for early-stage products, ensuring thorough testing and feedback collection.
  • Partnerships and Licensing: Evaluate and manage partnerships and licensing opportunities with external third party data providers, to improve our products and/or find synergies that are beneficial for our customers.
  • Competitive Analysis: Maintain knowledge of competitor activities to ensure SurePay’s products remain competitive and innovative.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Act as a leader within the company, working closely with Business Developers, Product Owners, Business Operations, Customer Success, and Marketing to align products with revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Strategic Contribution: Ensure products support SurePay’s overall strategy and long-term goals, contributing to the company’s growth and innovation roadmap.

 

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: BSc/MSc in Product, Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in product management in EU, particularly in fraud prevention, payments, and innovation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of fraud prevention technologies, market dynamics, and customer needs in the banking and corporate sectors.
  • Banking Expertise: Strong network within banks and the fraud prevention scene, with experience in understanding and navigating bank processes.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of fraud detection and transaction monitoring at banks. Familiarity with AI and machine learning techniques for fraud prevention is an advantage.
  • Data Proficiency: Savvy with data and analytics, with experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools.
  • Product Management: Experience managing API products and/or SaaS products.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English. Ability to effectively visualize, shape, and communicate data and ideas.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven team player with strong collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  • Lean Startup: Experience with Lean Startup principles is an advantage.
  • Innovation: Experience in innovation processes is an advantage.
