Your Job at SurePay
SurePay is dedicated to innovation and excellence in payment solutions. We are looking for a dynamic Senior Business Analyst to join our team and lead the analysis of new markets and recent developments in the field of payments. This role will translate strategic goals into actionable development opportunities for SurePay services.
As a Senior Business Analyst at SurePay, you will work in an Agile environment, closely collaborating with customers, data suppliers, and partners to innovate and improve our product offerings. You will ensure that developments align with SurePay’s strategic goals, whether it involves enhancing existing products like Confirmation of Payee and PayID or introducing new products in existing markets.
You will be detail-oriented and skilled at articulating business requirements, working closely with team members such as the solution architect and product owner to ensure that work items are ready for the scrum teams. You know how to deal with uncertainty, ready to dive into challenges and do not shy away from details and the technical side of things, e.g. by integrating third party API’s yourself to quickly test a hypothesis.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Analyze new markets and recent developments in payments to identify opportunities for product development and expansion.
- Business Requirements: Draw up detailed business requirements in Jira and/or Confluence and uncover business cases for new products or improvements to existing products.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gain insights into their challenges and translate these into potential solutions and product enhancements.
- Innovation: Connect external developments, such as legislation, new techniques, and customer demands, to SurePay’s future solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical disciplines like solution architects, product owners and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge Sharing: Present findings to the team and share knowledge to ensure a collective understanding of market and product opportunities.
- Product Vision: Identify market developments as input for the development or refinement of SurePay’s product vision.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. A Masters degree is an advantage.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an Innovation Manager or Business Analyst.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent logical thinking and strong analytical skills to spot promising ideas.
- Communication: Clear communication skills, both in conversations and written English, with the ability to ask probing questions to fully understand customer needs. Good presentation skills.
- Personal Attributes: Proactive, resourceful, investigative, and positively critical.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with payments, data, IT/technology, and APIs are advantages.
- International Experience: Experience in the EU banking sector is a must.
- Technical Background: A technical background or study is an advantage.
- Lean Startup: Experience with Lean Startup principles is an advantage.
- Innovation: Experience in innovation processes is an advantage.
