Your impact

As our HR Manager, you will oversee and manage the HR & Recruitment team, ensuring our operations align with our core values and fostering a great place to work. In this role, you will: 

  • Provide strategic HR guidance to Directors and Team Leads on performance management, leadership development, learning & development, and employee well-being.You'll be a self-starter who thrives in an environment with limited management, constantly seeking opportunities to improve our efforts. You will be working hands-on to not only come up with ideas and solutions, but also to implement and execute them.
  • Lead the People & Office team, including coaching team members, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Manage and professionalise HR, Recruitment, and Office Management efforts, ensuring scalability as we grow.
  • Act as a strategic partner and advisor to leadership on key HR topics, while also taking ownership of the hands-on execution of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the further development and professionalisation of our HR efforts. You proactively advise our Directors and Team Leads on HR topics, as well as executing your ideas and initiatives in collaboration with our HR & Office Employee
  • You are involved in and end-responsible for our Recruitment and Office Management towards our directors’ board
  • You are a part of our Leadership team and you take the responsibility to organise the off-sites and leadership training programs for this team
  • You translate company goals to team and individual goals
  • Conduct employee support, especially on complex HR cases, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for HR providers,managing  contractual relationships  (e.g. HRIS platform, Relocation Assistance etc.)
  • Stay updated on market changes and labour regulations, ensuring HR policies remain compliant and up to date.
  • You provide recurring reports to various stakeholders (e.g. monthly reviews, quarterly developments and annual survey reports) and conduct annual Employee Satisfaction Surveys
  • You are in charge of the People & Office team structures and meetings (e.g. standups, retrospective meetings and sprint plannings)
  • You are an experienced employee benefit manager, who will run benefit projects and implement them.
  • Maintain and build upon our company culture during this period of rapid growth.

How you’ll succeed

Minimum requirements:

  • You are available for 32 - 40 hours a week
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR role (e.g. HR Business Partner, HR Manager, etc.) in fast-paced companies that went through extremely rapid growth
  • Experience with or knowledge of Recruitment processes.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Hibob knowledge is a plus). 
  • Strong understanding of Dutch labour laws and HR policies. 
  • Ability to think critically and initiate ideas, as well as execute them. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills. 
  • Proven ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You can describe your work mentality as a real go-getter, result driven and self-starter
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).

Nice to haves: 

  • Previous HR experience in a start-up/scale-up environment
  • A relevant study or certifications  related to HR and Recruitment
  • Fluency in Dutch is a big plus, but not a necessity.
