What You’ll Do
- Drive innovation and optimisation across our AWS-based infrastructure (AWS is 90% of our work, but experience with GCP is a plus).
- Lead the development and implementation of robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins).
- Architect and manage complex systems using Terraform, CloudFormation, and container orchestration tools like EKS and Kubernetes.
- Ensure security and compliance by implementing hardened operating systems, Docker images, and atch management processes.
- Enhance observability and monitoring using tools like ElasticSearch, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
- Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable SaaS solutions.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
What You Bring
- 5+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar senior role.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services (EC2, EKS, CloudTrail, and more). Experience in SaaS environments is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of Java
- Proficiency in Python and Bash for scripting and automation.
- Strong background in networking fundamentals, middleware traffic management, and system security.
- Experience with microservices architecture and debugging distributed systems.
- Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Jinja templating, and Helm.
- A security-first mindset, with the ability to ensure new infrastructure is both functional and secure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively.
