About the role

We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher, with experience working on complex user journeys, omnichannel products, and service design research. Candidates, with transferable skills, and who meet the essential attributes from their work or personal experiences, are also welcome

You’ll be working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment with the following responsibilities:

This role supports the existing product teams, and provides specialist research expertise, from identifying user problems in-depth, concept testing, product validating, to running research on the ground, and sharing actionable insights.

This means that you will own your part of the UX research in product development, as follows:

  • Advocate for end user’s needs eg customers, merchants, staff..etc
  • Advocate for Design Thinking Approach within Tabby, and facilitate workshops in hypothesis formulating, problem framing, solution ideation, prioritisation, and co-design research.
  • Contribute to developing team roadmap in collaboration with Product and Design teams
  • Identify proactively research opportunities, that meet customer needs and business objectives
  • Plan and deliver research activities, both in-field or remotely, e.g., studying customer behaviour at their natural environment, or online, as and when required
  • Test concept ideas, product usability, and pricing models
  • Share user insights, and motivations, effectively and creatively, to engage with product managers, designers and relevant stakeholders
  • Lead on developing 1-2 parts of UX Research Ops e.g., Community of Practice, Sharing Knowledge across the organisation, Research Repository and making it accessible, and/or delivering training and development sessions as and when needed.

  2. Experience in conducting UX research for complex user journeys, omnichannel products, both digital products and offline services
  3. Experience in facilitating design thinking workshops e.g., problem framing, solution ideation, prioritisation, and co-design research. 
  4. Experience in using mixed research methods eg contextual inquiry interviews, basic statistical analysis, concept and pricing testing,…etc

  1. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, research methods, or any other social science discipline, with emphasis on mixed methodology, or equivalent practical experience.


Desirable attributes

  1. NN/g or Service Design Award certification, and/ or experience in running research for service design, and/or customer support operations.
  2. Master’s degree in psychology, or human-interaction design or similar social science discipline.
  3. Experience in storytelling techniques and sharing user insights 
  4. Experience in using collaborative and testing research tools eg Miro, Dovetail, Usability Hub, and Notion
