Your role

We're seeking an Incident Analyst for our Incident Management team. As an Incident Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring system continuous availability through 24/7 monitoring of pre-designed dashboards and risk alerts. You will be responsible for reporting any issues detected to the tech team and other business members as per the agreed escalation process, policy, and SLAs.

Drawing on your proficiency in incident and monitoring management, you will be tasked with monitoring and reporting on our system's uptime and errors, aiming to support the delivery of unmatched and unique advertising experiences that are a hallmark of Tamara.

With a proven track record in incident and monitoring management, you will play a vital role in maintaining our system's high availability, ultimately transforming how millions of users engage with shopping, payments, and banking.

Your Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring and Continuity: Continuously monitor dashboards and system alerts in real-time to ensure all current systems maintain required levels of availability and performance, thereby ensuring operational continuity.
  • Issue Detection and Remediation: Leverage monitoring systems for the rapid identification and resolution of potential and actual IT failures, minimizing downtime and impact on services.
  • Reporting and Communication: Adhere to established policies and procedures for reporting any deviations in system performance or risk alerts, ensuring prompt attention and action.
  • Dashboard Design Influence: Contribute insights from past incidents and problems to influence the design and functionality of monitoring dashboards, enhancing system availability and preemptive issue detection.

Your Expertise:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing, modeling, and interpreting data to inform decision-making and operational adjustments.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively articulate issues, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail, critical for identifying and addressing issues swiftly and accurately.
  • Work Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, as this role operates on a rotational shift basis to provide around-the-clock monitoring and support.
  • Technical Proficiency: Being tech-savvy with knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, with proficiency in Arabic considered a significant plus.
