Director of Rooms - Barcelona Poblenou

The Social Hub (TSH), Poblenou, with its 293 bedrooms of varying sizes, a 4-level co-working office space and community, a large ground floor restaurant and bar, a rooftop pool bar, and terrace, is on the lookout for a forward-thinking Director of Rooms to lead the way of our Stay Product for a premium relaunch in Q2 2025.

As Director of Rooms you will play a pivotal role in the successful development and of our Stay Product and team, in preparation of the refurbishment and relaunch of the new look hotel as well as well as uniquely TSH hospitality experience. 

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be in the lead of ensuring and further developing premium service and quality for our guests staying with us for either a night, a year or anything in between. This is a unique opportunity to shape an innovative our Stay Product in one of our flagship locations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Rooms management team, including Front Office Manager, Housekeeping Manager and Maintenance Manager.
  • Lead from the front; prioritise guest and team experiences, your presence will be felt by both team and guests alike fostering a divers and inclusive environment.
  • Work closely with the Director of F&B, Director of Memberships and Director of Stay to optimize operational processes across all departments
  • Develop and execute Rooms strategies to enhance guest experience and achieve business objectives in collaboration with the Marketing and Leaderships team to drive revenue.
  • Incorporation of sustainability and eco-friendly practices in Rooms strategies – in line with our future B Corp status.
  • Leverage data analytics to optimize operations, enhance guest experiences, and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. 
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction across the entire Rooms experience by handling feedback promptly and effectively in a proactive rather than reactive manner.
  • Develop and manage the Rooms budget, including cost control, revenue generation, and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions as necessary without compromising quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards including ongoing staff training, licensing and regulatory requirements and that best practices are always followed.

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Rooms Management role, ideally in establishments with 250-300 rooms.
  • Proven experience leading teams in the Rooms Division with a natural ability to inspire and develop others.
  • Skilled in change management and improving processes Rooms operations.
  • Financially adept, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Digitally savvy, with experience utilizing digital tools to enhance guest experiences and streamline operations.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences, with an eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Collaborative, innovative, and ready to create a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
