topi is creating the tech infrastructure that will allow any retailer or manufacturer to offer their products as a hardware subscription to business customers. The role
We are looking for a Software Engineer (f/m/x) to join a diverse and driven team of product-minded engineers who value collaboration, impact, and learning. We are a team working together across Europe, mainly in our hub countries: Germany, Spain, or the UK. You will get to shape the product, tech, and culture of an early-stage company, collaborating closely with an experienced and supportive team.
Our back-end stack is written in Go and our front-end is written in Typescript on top of the React-Redux framework all running on Google Cloud Platform. If you have not used every single part of our tech stack previously, don’t worry! We encourage engineers who are open to new technologies to apply and we will support your growth and learning.
About you
You will feel right at home if you like:
- Enjoy problem-solving with a diverse set of stakeholders - both internally and with our partners
- Collaborating with tech and non-tech people internally and externally to develop our product and solve challenging problems
- Sharing knowledge and driving consistency through pull requests and team discussions
- Designing simple and extensible solutions for complex problems
- Taking ownership of the product we are building, from engaging in ideas for new features to ensuring it runs smoothly in production
- Learning new technologies and improving your skills
- Driving improvements to how we work, our technology, and our product
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have commercial experience writing Go, particularly for API development
- Have experience building performant APIs in production
- Champion best practices for performance, privacy, and security
- Have experience integrating with external and internal services
- Are willing to learn beyond the back-end stack such as data or infrastructure or front-end
- Have a product mindset and are driven by the need to deliver value to our customers
- Great communication skills in English
