The Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our Operations Team. This role is responsible for providing technical support to our global customers. This person will be responsible for responding to support requests, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and contributing to process improvements. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and customers, providing technical support services. A proactive approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions are essential for success in this role. As this role will support our teams and clients globally, the successful candidate will be required to work a shift pattern of 2pm - 10pm, with occasional off-hours work based on customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install and Support Custom Software in Windows Server environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot on IIS web servers, including application deployments and configurations.
- Implement and maintain SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backups, and recovery.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Work with Azure SQL databases, including deployment, management, and performance monitoring.
- Utilize and manage BacPac files for database migrations and deployments.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to support and improve the overall IT infrastructure.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments.
- 5+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting IIS web servers.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server database administration, including writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database, including deployment, management, and performance monitoring.
- Experience working with BacPac files for database migrations and deployments.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Azure certifications) are a plus.
