The role: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our B2C business. As a key executive reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall success of our worlds first innovative and unique VayDrive Teledriving service.

This hands-on role requires a strategic leader who can display proven experience leading day to day operational activities as well as lead teams across diverse aspects, including operations, growth marketing and product.

This role is based on-site in Las Vegas/US and represents a unique opportunity to drive the success of our innovative B2C Teledriving service. We are searching for a visionary, yet structured and execution-focused product leader with a passion for cutting-edge technology and business growth.

The responsibilities:

  • Overall Company and Business Health:
    • Spearhead the success of our VayDrive service operations in Las Vegas.
    • Oversee commercial operations and ensure customer satisfaction
    • Monitor and improve business metrics (KPI’s) such as core end-to-end funnel and conversion rates, customer satisfaction, retention, Net Promoter Score (NPS)
    • Lead our teams: operations (in Las Vegas), marketing (in Las Vegas + remote), office culture (in Las Vegas)
    • Grow the team over time and foster a positive working culture
  • Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement policies, processes, and OKRs needed to ensure the business health
    • Drive continuous service improvements such as geofence expansion and the introduction of new product features
    • Strategically plan for the upcoming quarters to contribute to the overall company success 
  • Business Growth:
    • Set and achieve future business targets such as number of customers, cumulative trips and revenue.
    • Work on improving margin and profitability.
  • External Relations:
    • Act as the face of Vay in the US, engaging with city officials, investors, and media.
    • Establish trust as the key representative for the CEO in driving business overseas.
  • Financial Ownership:
    • Manage the budget for the US organization, including travel between HQ and Las Vegas.
    • Continuous enhance the unit economics
  • People Management:
    • Lead recruitment efforts and foster employee development and growth.
    • Oversee employee satisfaction and support in the US.

The profile: 

  • Demonstrated success in scaling and optimizing B2C operations.
  • Proven experience in executive leadership roles, ideally in the mobility or technology sector.
  • Previous success in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience with operational businesses such as carsharing, car-rental or other mobility services
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial responsibilities.
  • Ability to represent the company to external stakeholders effectively.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with the Las Vegas market or similar urban environments.
  • Experience in the autonomous vehicle or teledriving industry.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and city planning.
  • Previous exposure to international business expansion.
  • Understanding of the latest trends and technologies in the mobility sector.
