Summary:
We seek a skilled and driven HR Generalist to join Vay's People team reporting into our Director of People. As part of this team, you will be critical in leading the build out of HR/people processes in Las Vegas. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across business & engineering to effectively build out a scalable HR function in Las Vegas and be the bridge to ensure our culture is mirrored with our Berlin HQ.
This is a unique opportunity to be the first HR hire in the United States at the bleeding edge of technological innovation. You will have the opportunity to shape our HR processes from the ground up as we scale our Teledriving service across Las Vegas & the US.
Responsibilities:
- HR: Collaborate with People & Legal team to implement US HR handbook/guidelines focusing around insurance, sick leave, salary benchmarking, overtime, grievances & more
People operations: Be the face of the people function in the US creating an attractive benefits package, whilst leading on the onboarding & offboarding activities & driving team engagement. - Payroll & HRIS: payroll processing & enquiries. Ensure that our HRIS (Bamboo) is 100% reliable and have all the data updated on time
- Employee Benefits: Oversee and manage Vay employee benefits programs, vendor and broker management,
- Perks and recognition programs: manage non-traditional benefits and employee recognition programs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Comms/Marketing, Finance, Engineering & Operations to build culture based on our company values.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Ability to analyze HR data and generate insights on turnover, employee satisfaction, and other key metrics.
- Performance Management: Strong ability to support and advise on performance evaluations, employee development, and performance improvement plans.
- Project Management: Ability to lead and manage HR projects, ensuring timelines and goals are met
- German People Team Collaboration: continuous alignment with German People Team in order to enhance Vay’s culture in all the countries we have teams.
The profile:
- Bachelor's degree in HR related field
- 1-5 years of commercial HR experience
- Experience within tech start-up environment
- Strong understanding of US employment law
- Experience with workplace investigations
- Experience building onboarding & onboarding processes
- Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands.
Nice to have:
- Expertise to build HR handbook for US entity
- Previous experience implementing benefits package for organisation
