The role:

Vay is opening up a new business vertical by signing a commercial deployment contract with a major autonomous trucking company in the US. Vay’s teleoperations stack will be part of the Assisted Autonomy concept and will help our business partner to fast track a deployment of their driverless trucking technology in the commercial setting. Given the complexity of such a project, Vay is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager who will wear multiple hats in order to successfully deliver on the joint milestones between the two companies. This role will be a single point of contact for the entire project. You will be working very closely with the engineering teams on both sides in order to define the roadmap and be responsible for its delivery from Vay’s side. At the very beginning of the project, you will be also leading a small team of pioneering truck teledrivers which will give you the insights on all operational pain points which need to be fixed in order to have a happy customer. You would also own the business relationship with the customer and make sure that all stakeholders are up-to-date by owning all status reporting channels. 

The location of the role is on-site in our Last Vegas, Nevada office.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be a single point of contact for all topics related to one of our key B2B projects (from Business and Engineering side)
  • Be accountable for the engineering deliverables (SW and HW) ongoing B2B project
  • Own the roadmap for the B2B project
  • Identify risks, issues, and bottlenecks; implement mitigation strategies to keep program on track
  • Represent Vay on Program Reviews, daily or any other external meetings with B2B customer.
  • Deliver the Program Review to internal stakeholders
  • Lead a small team of teledrivers until H2 2025 for B2B project
  • Be responsible for day-to-day shift scheduling of the teledriving team for B2B project
  • Go through the hardship with the teledriving team on-site in Vay’s Las Vegas office

  • Proven experience leading multiple complex cross-functional programs and managing diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to grasp complex technical issues and effectively collaborate with engineering teams
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
