Product Designer - Contract

Location: London

Length of contract: 3 months, 40 hours / week

What is VEED.IO?

At VEED, our mission is to make video creation accessible to anyone. No hard-to-use equipment, painful learning curve, or keeping track of multiple subscriptions to take your ideas from record → share. With VEED, you can do this with a single tool.

In just a few years, we’ve gone from one user to millions. From no revenue to $35M+ ARR. From bootstrapped to backed by Sequoia, one of the biggest VC firms in the world. From a team of two to a team of 180+. And we’re seeking more talented, motivated and entrepreneurial individuals to join our growing team.

About the team

The Acquisition Team is a multi-disciplinary team focusing on the user acquisition, aka new customers. We work on a wide-range of projects: from launching new value propositions such as text to video and optimising landing pages and flows, to rebranding the whole site. By creating new tools, landing pages, and micro-apps, we solve users’ problems in small and big ways. We measure our success simply: are we driving new revenue out of the projects we are working on?

About the role

You will oversee initiatives that include building new micro-apps and landing pages, shaping a referral programme, running experiments and optimising our landing pages.

You’ll be responsible for working through design problems from beginning to end, gathering multiple perspectives, translating insights from data and research into design solutions. Product designers at VEED take responsibility every step of the way, from problem solving through to detailed UI and visual design, working closely with engineers and product managers to build, iterate and ship ideas.

What you will do

  • Own product design across Acquisition.
  • Lead end-to-end product design from ideation to implementation, including prototyping, user testing and visual design.
  • Collaborate with the team to test ideas and run experiments that grow key metrics across our user journeys.
  • Drive decisions based on data and research. Take into account existing insights, technical constraints, business needs, and specific platform demands to produce data-informed solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including growth and core product teams across the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach.

About you

You're excited about creative tools. Ideally, you bring experience solving complex challenges and building flexible solutions in a similar space.

You’re a great visual designer. For this role, you will work closely with our brand and product. You are able to raise the bar and push for excellence when it comes to visual design.

You are detail-oriented. You ensure your solutions are well crafted.

You are data-driven. You use data daily to inform your decisions.

You are a team player. You love to collaborate with your cross-functional peers to shape and ship new ideas and concepts to millions of users.

You are curious and have a growth mindset. You are looking for new ideas, open to feedback and happy to improve things along the way.

You are proactive. You are comfortable looking at data, proposing and conducting research and coming up with new ideas that can drive growth.

You have the communication skills to help set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts. Also instrumental is the ability to speak confidently to your own design work and convince others of your reasoning.

You are a talented designer, with the ability to think big as well as the passion and persistence to polish the details.

This is a temporary 3 month contract position. The daily rate is up to £450 p/d.
