Your role at Vertice
As AWS Solutions Specialist at Vertice, you will be a key part of building on our success with our Cloud Cost Optimization offering. You will be an AWS cost optimization expert and work across teams at Vertice to both support existing customers, advising them on cost optimization initiatives and helping them get the most value out of the product, as well as to help our sales team sell by bringing technical expertise to sales calls with new prospects and thereby directly driving revenue. This is a high-impact role for someone who can roll up their sleeves and is willing to succeed as part of the Vertice team.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers to understand their cloud computing environment, usage patterns and existing cost optimization initiatives.
- Inform and train clients in the product's proper use to enhance the customer experience and improve satisfaction.
- Run onboarding sessions and be a strategic resource to our customers, supporting with ongoing cost optimization best practices and implementation guidance.
- Be the technical subject matter experts throughout the sales process, explaining the value of our product to customers, identifying requirements and running product demos.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud cost optimization best practices and industry news.
- Collaborate with leadership & internal teams, such as sales, engineering, and customer success, to ensure customers receive a holistic and integrated cloud cost optimization solution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of cloud computing experience, ideally focusing on cost optimization.
- Expert knowledge of AWS is required.
- Proven experience in technical sales and/or building successful relationships with customers.
- Strong technical skills, including cloud architecture, networking, and storage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization tools and techniques as well as working with technical personas desired.
- A positive and open-minded attitude to wear many different hats.
