We are currently seeking a Design System Manager to lead our Design System team and drive the design and definition for's design system. This role provides a unique opportunity to leverage your experience in creating, managing, and improving design systems (specifically in Figma). You will collaborate with a team of world-class multi-disciplinary designers and engineers to invent and deliver UX frameworks components and features that align and extend the ’s experience across all of our products and brands. You will work alongside research, product and engineering partners across the organization to build customer-focused solutions at scale. You must be able to lead projects forward in the face of complexity and ambiguity, collaborate with stakeholders, designers and a large team of developers and product managers.

What you will do: 

  • Ensure the design system meets the needs of end users, designers, developers, and product teams, aligns with brand guidelines, and promotes consistency and efficiency.
  • Lead the direction of white-label products by designing, developing, and maintaining a multi-theme design system.
  • Perform regular design system audits.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business strategy and requirements.
  • Track and communicate product-specific KPIs to stakeholders.
  • Own and maintain the backlog and roadmap, prioritizing the day-to-day work of the product team.
  • Align with other product managers, designers and engineers to drive adoption of the design system and address potential blockers.
  • Monitor and manage the financial impact of decisions and priorities of the product team.
  • Work closely with experienced designers and the brand team to ensure customer-driven design and adherence to brand experience.
  • Collaborate with engineers and engineering leadership to ensure performance and adherence to best practices and the latest technology.
  • Manage design system designers.
  • Employ servant-leadership to coach and empower your team, increasing the speed and impact of their work.

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience working at the intersection of brand, engineering and design systems. You also have strong, proven experience working with multi-theme design systems, tokens and variables.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of design systems, their components, and their impact on product development and user experiences.
  • You can articulate the importance of systems design and the marriage between design and development through clear examples of its impact.
  • You have proven managing experience with the capability to coordinate multiple teams to increase adoption of our design system.
  • You show an affinity towards customer-centric design with a deep understanding of design as a craft, mindset, and process.
  • You are familiar with front-end development and app technologies.
  • You are able to manage tasks across multiple competencies.
  • You have functional knowledge of lean-agile development methodologies, product vision creation, and product roadmap development.
  • You are capable of gathering, analyzing, and understanding user and business needs, and understanding their impact on the product backlog and team.
  • You are proficient in integrating qualitative and quantitative research, product analysis, and end-user insights into product requirements.
