About the role

As an AML/KYC Specialist you will be responsible for a day to day activities related to merchant onboarding and ongoing due diligence. Depending on the expertise, you can be assigned to transactions monitoring and sanctions screening processes, perform daily operations, case investigations, escalating related matters to AML/CTF Officer. We would expect you to review the current due diligence and monitoring processes and work on the improvements to ensure smooth and compliant customer onboarding experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing AML/KYC due diligence on a range of Volt’s customers (merchants) with different legal structures
  • Customer analysis and assessment under the guidance of the Volt’s AML Policies and Procedures
  • Conducting customer risk assessment and scoring based on customer data analysis
  • Adhering to VOLT AML strategies and procedures
  • Processing the information through internal and external databases
  • Performing research via internal and external sources, gather and analyze documentation in accordance with regulatory KYC requirements
  • Investigation and analysis of customer activities, patterns and behavior
  • Close liaison with the Customer Success department and other departments responsible for customer integrations. Raising the questions and analyzing customer answers to fill the gaps about customer activity.
  • Composing a conclusion and creating a customer portrait with a summary about the customers and passing this information to superior when needed.
  • Escalation to the immediate supervisor of potential threats that may occur in operational KYC processes
  • Escalation of unusual or suspicious activity and behavior of Volt’s customers to MLRO for further investigation
  • Participation in the development and optimization of processes
  • Performing other tasks assigned by the superior in accordance with the employee's competences

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ of previous work experience in a similar role, preferably in a highly regulated financial services environment. 
  • Experience with AML/KYC compliance and knowledge of KYC standards and best practices
  • Detail oriented with the ability to communicate effectively and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Overall interest in AML/CTF area
  • Very strong attention to details, effective problem solving, strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Fluency in English and Lithuanian languages (written & verbal). 
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes and deal with a certain level of unknown.
  • ACAMS or ICA certification would be an advantage
